A fun partner WOD with body weight only exercises. Later in the day: my scar opens up and my knee starts to bleed. February 17, 2010
A repeat of “slam dunk,” and in my weakened, post-surgical recovery phase, I still do something… and of that I’m proud. February 15, 2010
Two weeks out from major surgery on my leg, I do some ring dips and pull-ups, and then a modified “little Jeremy.” The focus for me right now is on rehab, not aggressive progress in training. But I was feeling the aggression today anyway! Nice. February 12, 2010
Today was all about being there, while everything else seemed to be falling apart at the seams, I made it to the gym and worked out. My time didn’t matter. What mattered was that I was doing 42 pull-ups, 100 sit-ups, and 45 push-ups as fast as I could. February 8, 2010
One week ago, I had surgery. Dr. Frisch, of Mission Trauma (Blue Ridge Bone and Joint), removed the titanium nail and two distal screws from my right tibia. Today, I returned to the gym. The body is amazing! January 29, 2010
Power Cleans (set new 1 RM at 155 and new 3 RM at 145), and Heavy Daze, Again, with 175 lbs, again, finishing in 4:49, a 26 second improvement over my last time, Aug. 31st, 2009. January 25, 2010
A mixed result on “Our Lady Micah,” but I did use Rx’d weights for Fran (95 lbs, no assistance bands). 3×75 on the Snatch Balance. January 23, 2010
An exhausting and difficult WOD, involving Rowing on the Erg, KB swings, and K2Es. Skill work: skin the cats. |
